Bernd Maisenbacher has been a partner at Maisenbacher, Hort & Partner since 1992.
After
his apprenticeship at the Deutsche Bank AG, Mr. Maisenbacher completed
his training at the Board of Inland Revenue with a degree in fiscal
economics ("Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH)"). He then began working for the
Regional Tax Office in Karlsruhe before switching to the Ministry of
Finance of the State of Baden-Württemberg, where for many years he was
responsible for cases concerning profit tax. Among other things, he was
a member of the Task Forces for the Association of Builder-Owners and
Real Estate Investment Funds as well as the Task Force for Section 15 a
of the Income Tax Act at the Federal Ministry of Finance.
After passing the tax consultant's examination, he first worked as an authorised officer at the tax counselling company of the Regional Federation of Housing Associations Stuttgart (Verband Baden-Württembergischer Wohnungsunternehmen).
Mr. Maisenbacher spent many years as a lecturer at further training
seminars on tax matters related to profit tax, the right of conversion,
current legal practice and questions regarding international taxation.
He also worked as an author for several publishing houses.
Due
to his previous work, apart from common professional assignments Mr.
Maisenbacher has specialised knowledge in the fields of profit tax, the
right of conversion as well as the taxation of non-profit legal
entities, such as foundations, associations and public bodies. He also
assists companies that operate globally and require consulting services
when drawing up their annual financial statement in accordance with
IFRS standards. Furthermore, Mr. Maisenbacher advises companies in the
field of real estate, such as building societies that function as a
development company as well as non-profit institutions.
Mr. Maisenbacher is a member of the Examination Committee at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Karlsruhe.
